The Syracuse Crunch saw their season-high four-game win streak snapped this afternoon in a fight-filled affair, dropping a 4-1 decision to the Albany Devils at the Times Union Center. Brian McGrattan scored the Crunch’s lone goal, his fifth in as many games, while Nathan Perkovich tallied twice for the home team.

Smith Scores Four as Crunch Down Albany, 5-3

Trevor Smith tied a club single-game record with four goals, Dan Sexton contributed two assists and MacGregor Sharp tallied his second goal in as many games to lift the Syracuse Crunch to their third straight victory, a 5-3 win over the Albany Devils tonight at the Times Union Center.

Devils Unlucky in Loss to Crunch

ALBANY, NY – The Albany Devils hit four posts and witnessed two power-play goals against in a 3-0 loss to the Syracuse Crunch on Friday at the Times Union Center in front of 4,235 fans. Jeff Frazee made 16 saves as the Devils go to 6-7-0-0 on the year. The Crunch improve to 6-4-1-2 on the year.
